The Selvig Wedding

The Selvig Wedding | Golden, Colorado Wedding Album

When America and Lance tied the knot, they chose Golden, Colorado as the backdrop for their unforgettable day. From a cozy Airbnb in the heart of Golden to their first look at the stunning Flatirons Vista Trail, and finally, the heartfelt ceremony and celebration at Table Mountain Event Center, their wedding was a perfect blend of love, laughter, and Colorado beauty.

As a Colorado wedding photographer, I was honored to capture every detail—from the intimate getting-ready moments to the lively dance floor that capped off the evening. If you’re planning a wedding in Golden, CO, this celebration is a perfect example of how meaningful, beautiful, and fun your day can be.

Getting Ready in Golden, CO

The morning began in a charming Airbnb in Golden, where America and her bridal court prepared for the day. The atmosphere was calm but buzzing with excitement. The bridesmaids toasted with champagne while hair and makeup unfolded in the warm, natural light. Lance and his groomsmen kept things relaxed, sharing stories and laughter before heading out for the first look.

First Look & Bridal Court Photos at Flatirons Vista Trail

Nestled just outside Boulder, Flatirons Vista Trail was the perfect choice for America and Lance’s first look. With sweeping mountain views, golden grasses, and endless sky, this location offered a timeless Colorado backdrop.

When America tapped Lance on the shoulder during their first look, his reaction was pure joy. These moments—private, emotional, and authentic—are what make first looks so powerful. Afterward, we captured bridal party portraits, mixing formal shots with candid laughter. The wide-open trail gave us room to be creative, and the results were nothing short of breathtaking.

THE CEREMONY AT TABLE MOUNTAIN EVENT CENTER

The Table Mountain Event Center in Golden, CO, offered a warm and inviting space for the ceremony and reception. With about 80 guests, the atmosphere felt intimate but still full of energy. Friends and family gathered under soft lighting as America and Lance exchanged heartfelt vows.

The venue’s rustic elegance paired perfectly with their laid-back style. One of my favorite details was the floral arrangements—simple yet vibrant, highlighting Colorado’s natural beauty without overwhelming the space.

A BBQ BUFFET & LIVELY RECEPTION

Instead of a formal plated dinner, America and Lance treated their guests to a BBQ buffet, which perfectly matched the relaxed and joyful vibe of the day. Guests piled their plates with hearty favorites before gathering at their tables to swap stories and enjoy the meal.

As the sun dipped below the mountains, the reception came alive with music and dancing. America and Lance’s first dance was heartfelt, but the real party started when the DJ opened the floor. From grandparents grooving to little ones spinning in circles, the dance floor was packed all night.
