Two single strangers who've never met. One photoshoot. You apply, I match, and we all find out what happens when the camera is already rolling on a first hello.
What Is a Stranger Session?
A Stranger Session is exactly what it sounds like: two single people who have never met, photographed together from the moment they meet.
You don't pick your match — you apply, and if you're selected, I pair you with someone and handle the rest. Location, date, styling direction, timing. All you have to do is show up.
What comes out of it is up to the two of you. Some people leave with a great story and a set of portraits they'd never have taken otherwise. Some people leave with a second date. There's no expectation either way, and nobody's obligated to feel anything about anyone. You're here for the experience and the photos — anything beyond that is a bonus.
How It Works
Apply
Fill out the application — a few questions about you, what you're looking for, and your general availability. It takes about five minutes, and applying costs nothing.
Get Selected
Not every application becomes a session. I review applications and match people thoughtfully, which means there may be a wait depending on who else has applied. If you're selected, I'll reach out directly to confirm you're still interested before anything is locked in.
Meet on Camera
The session starts the second you see each other. That first look, the handshake or the hug, the part where nobody knows what to say yet — that's the good stuff, and it only happens once. From there it's a normal session: I direct, you two talk, and I stay out of the way when things are working.
Matching, Safety, and What You Get
- Every application is personally reviewed before anyone is matched — no automated pairing, no randomly assigning names.
- You'll never be given your match's contact information, and they won't be given yours. If the two of you want to exchange details afterward, that's entirely your call to make in the moment. If at any point before the session you'd rather not go through with it, just tell me — no explanation needed, no hard feelings.
- If you enjoyed the session, a gallery of professionally edited photos can be delivered to both attendees email addresses for $500. NOTE: Both parties need to agree to receiving the photos.
- You agree to allow ShippSnaps to use photos and videos captured at the shoot on social media platforms

What is a stranger photography sessin?
A stranger photography session pairs two people who have never met and photographs them together from their first moment of meeting. At Shipp Snaps, you apply rather than book — I review applications, match participants, and coordinate the location, date, and styling for the pair.
do I choose who i am matched with?
No. The premise only works if you genuinely haven't met, so matching is entirely on my end. I'll tell you the date, the location, and what to expect — but not who. That's the point.
Is this a dating service?
No. It's a photography session between two single people, and any connection that comes out of it is a happy accident rather than the goal. There's no obligation on either side to exchange information, stay in touch, or feel anything in particular.
How Do I Know it's Safe?
Every application is personally reviewed, sessions happen at pre-arranged locations, and I'm present throughout. You'll know exactly where and when before you commit, and you can withdraw at any point beforehand.
Will my photos be posted publicly?
When you engage in a ShippSnaps stranger shoot, you agree to allow photos and videos captured to be utilized across our platforms. However, if the session is not what you expected, arrangements can be made to ensure that the photos are not publicly posted.
How long until I hear back?
Because sessions depend on finding the right pairing, timelines vary. If you're selected, you'll hear from me directly before anything is scheduled.
Where do stranger sessions take place?
Throughout the Denver metro — Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Centennial, and Denver proper. Locations are chosen per pairing and shared with both participants in advance.
What should I wear?
You'll get styling inspiration once you're matched — a mood board and a few directional suggestions rather than a required look. Wear something you feel genuinely good in; that always photographs better than something borrowed for the occasion.
